Top Tips on maintenance
CongraTulations on your fabulous NEW lawn!
Whilst it does not require watering or mowing like traditional lawns, a little maintenance goes a long way...
Brush brush brush
Brushing it just once a month is ideal, brush it in all different directions so you keep the turf pile bouncy and upright.
The ideal brush for the job is a medium soft bristle brush which will be gentle but effective on the artificial grass. It might seem like light work, but it will make a noticeable difference to the appearance and condition of your lawn.
Tough Stain Removal
The resistant material of an artificial grass lawn means you should be able to remove most satins and marks quickly, using hot water with a bit of washing up liquid (Tougher oil marks and such can be removed using a cloth and some mineral spirits). When cleaning up animal mess make sure it is removed as soon as possible, followed by a wash of the area if needed.
THINGS TO AVOID
Don't use sharp objects on your grass.
Keep chewing gum and adhesives well away from your beautiful lawn.
Keep motor vehicles off the artificial grass, wheelbarrows, bicycles and wheelchairs are all fine.
Don't use sources of heat on the artificial grass (or too near to it). Smoking, bonfires and fireworks are all no-goes and barbecues are best done on safe, solid surfaces like gravel or slabs.
